Who we are
Outwork Pay is the operator-built payment processor. We are not financiers who bought a book of accounts. We founded and scaled nine-figure consumer brands, moved hundreds of millions of dollars through online checkout, signed the agreements, and overpaid the middlemen for years. Then we built the processor we wished we had.
We place merchant processing for e-commerce, subscription, and health businesses, including categories most banks will not touch, and we serve merchants at the counter too. Because we operate brands ourselves, we sit on the same side of the table as the merchant. We have read the statements, absorbed the reserves, and lost the accounts. That experience is the pitch.

The role
We are hiring Merchant Services Business Development Representatives to open doors for Outwork Pay.
You find businesses that accept card payments, start the conversation, and get their processing statement into our hands. Our team runs the analysis, builds the proposal, and manages underwriting. You stay on the relationship from the first conversation through the day the merchant goes live, and you earn on that account for as long as it processes.
This is a commission role with no cap and no territory limits. It is open to people with no payments background. If you can get an owner on the phone and keep them there, we will teach you the rest.
What you will do
- Source your own prospects: e-commerce brands, subscription businesses, supplement companies, clinics, and any operator moving meaningful card volume
- Open conversations by cold call, cold email, LinkedIn, referral, and in person
- Ask the questions that surface payment pain: reserves, holds, chargebacks, declines, terminations, and rate increases
- Collect processing statements and route them to our analysis team
- Present the proposal our team builds, in your own voice, to the merchant
- Guide approved merchants through application, documentation, and underwriting
- Stay on the account after activation, run proactive check-ins, and generate referrals
- Keep the CRM current: every opportunity logged, every next step dated
- Build referral relationships with agencies, accountants, fractional CFOs, consultants, and fulfillment partners
What you bring
- The ability to start conversations with people who did not ask to hear from you
- Follow-up discipline. Nothing falls through the cracks.
- Speed. In this business, responsiveness is the edge.
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication with owners and executives
- Genuine curiosity about how a business makes money
- Comfort with CRM systems, email tools, LinkedIn, spreadsheets, and AI research tools
- Self-direction. Nobody is going to build your day for you.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
No merchant services experience required. No degree required. We will teach you interchange, effective rate, reserves, gateways, and underwriting.
Nice to have
- B2B sales, inside sales, SDR, or agency business development experience
- Merchant services, fintech, banking, or SaaS background
- Existing relationships with e-commerce operators, agencies, or accounting firms
- Familiarity with Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, or Authorize.net
- The ability to read a processing statement, or the appetite to learn quickly
- Based in or near Boca Raton, FL
How you are paid
- Commission only. 1099. Paid monthly.
- A residual split on the processing revenue of every merchant you bring on, paid every month that merchant processes
- Activation bonuses on approved accounts that go live
- No cap and no territory limits
- Residuals are paid for as long as you are an active Outwork Pay representative
- This is an exclusive role. You represent Outwork Pay, not multiple processors.
